Welcome to Alaska Home Care's Personal Care services program.

Our Staff is professional and courteous treating all individuals with dignity & respect.

Allowable services may include, but are not limited to;

• Grocery Shopping
• Personal Hygiene
• Dressing
• Bathing
• Assistance with Medications
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Laundry
• Shopping, Errands & Transportaion
• Encouragement & Comfort
• Respite
• Accompanying to Medical Appointments

For clients with Private Insurance or Medicaid, services may be limited according to their rules and regulations. But we will happily assist you with this process.

We also provide Chore and Respite services to those individuals who meet and have been approved for services through the Alaska Medicaid Waiver program.

Eligibility Requirements for Personal Care Providers 

Potential Employees MUST be able to pass State & Federal Background Checks

AND

Must be eligible for employment in the U.S., proof of eligiblity & identity are required with 2 types of ID.

Training requirements:

• CPR & 1st Aid Certifications;
• and required State trainings

All other consumer-specific training is optional & is provided by the consumer or their designee.

Benefits of Working for a CDPCA

• We handle all the billing and payroll, workers compensation & unemployment insurances in compliance with the Federal & Alaska state regulations.
• The consumer interviews the PCA and trains them to meet their particular needs.
• Schedules are designed to fit the consumer's need and preferences.
• Family members (except spouses, legal guardians/POA's and the parents of a minor child) may be eligible to be paid by Medicaid. Private Insurance may have exceptions for employees, also.

The program is designed to keep individuals with special needs, disabilities and/or the frail elderely in their own homes.
